My Autobiography
  1. Use Notepad or any text editor (Note: DO NOT USE Microsoft Word or WordPad) to create a web page using HTML tags only. Important - Do not use a web page editor.
  2. This web page will be entitled "My Autobiography". Save the file as MyStory.html. Remember to change the file extension from .txt to .html
  3. On the first line of the "body", type the title "My Autobiography" and apply Heading 1 tag and center align it. On the second line type "By Your Name" - of course you substitute your name! Apply Heading 2 tag and center align it also.
  4. You should have at least 3 paragraphs. Put a descriptive phrase on top of each paragraph and apply Heading 3 style on the descriptive phrase only.

    Example:

        Family and Friends

        My family came from........(first paragraph - normal font)

        Education

        My schooling started.......(second paragraph - normal font)

        My Hobbies

        My hobbies include.......(third paragraph - normal font)

  5. The first paragraph should be about your family and friends. Include in the first paragraph where your family immigrated from. For native born Americans, tell us where your ancestors might have come from.
  6. The second paragraph should be about your education from elementary to the present and what degree or certificate you wish to obtain from Mt. SAC or from a four year university or college.
  7. Include in the second paragraph a bulleted or numbered list of classes that you have taken from Mt. SAC.
  8. The third should be about your hobbies or things that you like to do in your spare time. You may have more than a paragraph for the three sections.
  9. You may add as many paragraphs as you want to complete this web page. You may apply any other HTML tags to make this page more attractive.
  10. While in Notepad, print the document (also known as the source document) and submit it to professor at the next class meeting.
  11. Display the web page in a browser and print the web page from the browser print function. Submit both printouts to the professor at the next class meeting.
